David Young CFI/FIC Instructor

David Young (dy) is Kemble Flying Clubs’ Chief Flying Instructor and also one of the most experienced microlight instructors in the country with over 9,000 hours of airborne time teaching people to fly.

He formed Pegasus Flight Training (Cotswolds) in 1988 and moved to Kemble in 1995 setting up Kemble Flying Club and re-opening the former RAF base for civilian flying. The business is now Kemble Flying Centre Ltd.

Mark Hayter

Mark Hayter, a Flying Instructor (FI) and Ground Examiner, has been working with Kemble Flying Club full time since July 2016. Mark cut his teeth flying light aircraft at Compton Abbas 18 years ago and he even completed an IMC Rating  (instruments) and a Night Rating.   

Mark owned his own light aircraft, a PA22 Tripacer, for some time, building hours, and then completed a light aircraft instructor course at Wellesbourne.  Since then he has amassed over 3,000 hours as a light aircraft flying instructor.

Lee Galliford

Lee Galliford is a Flying Instructor (Restricted) which means he can only fly when there is another instructor, FI, here to supervise him.  Not that Lee needs much supervision.  He completed his instructor training course in Spring 2017 and has over 150 hours experience instructing since.  He can teach in all our three axis aircraft.
