New AFI
Congratulations to Richard Foster who completed an Assistant Flying Instructor Course with David Young on 8th March and who successfully passed his Instructor test with FIE Paul Dewhurst on 9th March. Richard, from Staffordshire, whose recent flying has been on his AX3, started his training course with local pilot Julian Midder in the Eurostars on 8th February. Richard, who in real life is a fire fighter, has part time work lined up with another flying school. Congratulations also to Julian Midder who attended the same course and who passed his test with Fiona Luckhurst on 25th March 2012. With his new Instructor ticket Julian was able to help with ground briefing and flying for the Cotswold Airport Scholarship this Easter. We wish Richard and Julian every success with their future flying instruction.

This amazing looking machine is likely to be in production next Spring but one of the first to fly it will be Kemble Flying Clubs very own CFI David Young who is a factory B Conditions test pilot and he will be making an exclusive report for Flyer magazine.
Strip Flying Special!
Club member Martin Croft had a birthday treat in store when he visited this week. Wife, Karen, had arranged a strip flying special!
He and CFI David Young departed on a tour including five local grass airstrips and the challenge of the short, the narrow and landing on a hill!
Martin is pictured here in one of our amazing Eurostars, G-CEFZ, at Yatesbury. Thanks to everyone for their hospitality.
