David Young CFI Instructor

David Young (dy) is Kemble Flying Clubs’ Chief Flying Instructor and also one of the most experienced microlight instructors in the country with over 9,000 hours of airborne time teaching people to fly.

Chris Glover FE

Chris started gliding while at Hatfield Polytechnic in 1983. Chris now has around 250 hours in gliders, has flown in a number of “club class” competitions and has flown gliders in Spain, France and Australia.

Mark Hayter FE

Mark Hayter, is a Flying Instructor and examiner (FE). He has been working with us full time since July 2016. Mark cut his teeth flying light aircraft at Compton Abbas 18 years ago and he even completed an IMC Rating (instruments) and a Night Rating.

 

Lee Galliford FI

Lee Galliford is a Flying Instructor who completed his instructor training course in Spring 2017 and has over 200 hours experience instructing since.  He can teach in all three of our three axis aircraft.

Neil Douglas FI(R)

Neil’s first experience of flight was as a 12 year old on a short commercial flight from Glasgow to Edinburgh. In 2022 he trained as a Flying Instructor and joined us at Kemble, where he teaches the majority of our flex wing training.
